It’s photography time once again during the West Nebraska Arts Center’s 30th Annual IMAGE exhibit! Each year this gallery exhibit includes a wide variety of photographs showcasing technical innovations and aesthetic curiosities. The new exhibit, sponsored by the Steel Grill, includes more than 168 photographs from 68 artists from Nebraska and Wyoming.
 
Ken Kurtz, a professional photographer from Gering, Nebraska will select awards at this year’s exhibit.
 
The IMAGE Photography Exhibit will be on display at the West Nebraska Arts Center February 3 - 26.  An opening reception with the artists will be held Friday, February 3rd from 5-7p.m. The gallery exhibit and opening reception are free and open to the public.

The West Nebraska Arts Center is a cultural non-profit organization committed to education, awareness and excellence in the arts, serving the North Platte Valley Region. WNAC is located at 106 East 18th Street in Scottsbluff, NE. Visit the Arts Center’s website, www.thewnac.com, or find us on facebook to learn more.

We Bought A Zoo

Based on a true story, Benjamin Mee is a recently-widowed father who moves his family to a beautiful estate miles outside the city. The only catch is that the estate is also a dilapidated zoo replete with 200 animals, and the purchase of the home is conditional on the new owner keeping the zoo and its entire staff. The Mee family subsequently sets out to rebuild and refurbish the zoo to its former glory, making new friends along the way.

Rated: PG (for language and some thematic elements)
