The Kids Are All Right

September 10

Midwest Theater
Sept 10-12
Fri & Sat @ 7:30  Sun @ 1:30

Rated:
Running time: 1h 44min

One of the Most Talked about Films at  Sundance 2010

The Kids Are All Right is the heartfelt new comedy from acclaimed director Lisa Cholodenko, starring Annette Bening, Julianne Moore, and Mark Ruffalo. Two teenaged children (Alice in Wonderland’s Mia Wasikowska and Journey to the Center of the Earth’s Josh Hutcherson) get the notion to seek out their biological father and introduce him into the family life that their two mothers (Bening and Moore) have built for them. Once the donor (Ruffalo) is found, the household will never be the same, as family ties are defined, re—defined, and re—re—defined. The New York Times raves that it’s "a generous, nearly note—perfect portrait of a modern family," and Entertainment Weekly calls the movie "funny, smart and sexy!"

You are sure to be delighted and entertained by Al Pierson and the Lombardo Orchestra. Al Pierson is well known for treating the audiences to wonderful tunes such as Seems Like Old Times, Boo Hoo, Coquette, Sweethearts on Parade, Johnson Rag, Bye Bye Blues, and many more. Pierson has shown a dedication to the distinctive and recognizable style and grand tradition that made the Lombardo Orchestra one of the most listened to, talked about, and imitated big bands of all time. He brings “The Sweetest Music This Side of Heaven” back to the prominence it so richly deserves.
